Small Groups - descriptions
We find that small groups are one of the most effective ways that we as a church can edify, or encourage, one another to do good works (Hebrews 10:24). TABC offers many small group opportunities from a traditional Sunday School environment and Ministry-focused Groups to Home Groups that develop organically and exist for varying lengths of time. We hope that wherever you are in your personal walk, you'll be able to find a group that fits your needs, interests, and schedule.
Small groups held on our church campus usually have a more set schedule while our home groups’ schedules can change from month to month. Feel free to browse the descriptions below and call or email the leader of the desired small group for up-to-date scheduling information or just give our office a call at 281.332.2599 and we'll help you get plugged in.
If you would like to open your home and host a small group, please contact the church office for further information.

Bible study - Community Bible Study
Contact(s): Mike Vaughn
Open to all ages, this group originated in 2003 when a member recovering from surgery lamented to the pastor that he missed Bible study but was unable to leave his home. Pastor Rudy replied that he would be right over and bring the Bible study to him, which he did, joining this man and his wife and a few members who happened to be in the office that Thursday morning. The Bible study group later moved to the Fellowship Hall where it still meets today. Coffee and usually donuts are ready by 9:30AM with the study, led by Mike Vaughn, beginning around 10 on Thursdays.

community gardens - improving nutrition

"Share your food with the hungry . . ." Isaiah 58:7a NLT
We are developing raised bed gardens on our property! The blessing of approximately 9.5 acres provides the potential to grow fresh vegetables to enrich the diets of our neighborhood families. Through the harvests over the last year, our food pantry provided fresh produce to many families. While faithful volunteers continue to maintain several beds, our dream is to partner with our neighbors by building and preparing the beds, assisting with planting, and providing water. Each family could then arrange a schedule with our gardening team leaders for tending to their own "garden". Interested families may call the church office 281-332-2599 to make arrangements to meet with Carissa and Jennifer to get started.
